Yes? Excellent, then this might be the role for you.

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our amazing team.

We'd welcome both experienced Vets as well as encourage New Graduates applications for this role. We would also be happy to chat about part-time and full-time roles for the right candidate.

Salary between £34,000-£60,000 pro rata depending on experience.

Why us?

Beautiful surroundings- just 6 minutes from Berkhamsted High Street, in a modern, purpose-built premises with air conditioning and plenty of windows for an open feel.

No OOH and BH's- we're open to the public from 8am- 7pm, Monday- Friday with consultation sessions in between, 9am-11.30am, 1.30pm-3pm and 4.30pm-7pm leaving adequate time for grabbing 'a cuppa' in between!

No full weekends- our current Vets work roughly 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8.30am- 1pm and then hand over to our OOH service for the remainder of the weekend.

We care about you- it is important to us that you are happy here with us and that you enjoy your work, so that we can provide the best service that we can to our lovely clients. We have regular Practice meetings, and your input is valued.

A fantastic established team- You will be joining 3 experienced Vets, (so they'll rarely be sole charge,) 5 RVNS and 2 ACAs who all enjoy Practice life as well as the odd team social!

Open to flexible working patterns- A mixture of between 8.30am- 4.30pm and 11.15am- 7.15pm shift patterns are currently in place, but we are open to fitting around you.

Managed caseload- Currently we are comfortable with the numbers of clients per Veterinary surgeon, and we actively manage our workload for our staff so that continues to be the case.

Paid overtime- As with the nature of our job, occasionally we may have to stay on late if an emergency surgery has been started in the late afternoon, before being transferred to the Out of Hours provider. If this occurs, you are paid for any overtime that you do.

We actively encourage CPD that interests you, your weekly rota will compromise of a mix of consultation sessions and surgery time to ensure a varied caseload.

And... we have a private garden for staff to sit and have lunch in when the weather allows getting that much required fresh air- what more could you want?
