St John's is a purpose-built veterinary surgery, which was opened by Jane Wighton, the Principal veterinary surgeon in July 1995. The practice is supplemented by the considerable experience and expertise of vet Beverley Irving.
It also has a team of fully qualified veterinary nurses to ensure that your pets always receive the best possible care and attention. To find out more about our staff, please click here
With on-site car parking and easy access from all directions, we are conveniently located, just off the main High Street in Berkhamsted, to meet all of your pet's needs.
St John's is a RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) Accredited Practice (Tier 2), which means peace of mind for you, quality care for your animals and regular inspections for the practice.
Our repeat prescriptions policy has changed - please see the Prescriptions page for more detail
Our opening and surgery times are on the left; please remember that it's necessary to book an appointment time. Emergencies will always be given priority, but advance telephone warning that an urgent case is on the way would help us to make any necessary preparations.
24-hour Emergency Service
Outside surgery hours an answer phone message will give the contact number of the emergency vet on duty. We use a dedicated out of hours practice called Vets Now who are based locally at Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Details of any emergency veterinary treatment your pet receives at this centre will be immediately faxed to us so we can then continue your pet's care.
